About Bergand Group

The Bergand Group was founded by Dr. John Steinberg and Dr. Paul Giannandrea, two experienced and complimentary doctors who joined together to create a true Dual Diagnosis and Co-Occurring Disorder treatment program. Their goal with the Bergand Group was to provide a setting in which patients can be treated and in which clinicians can work in a therapeutic and comfortable environment that embodies these core principles.

Our doctors have over 25 years experience each in treating substance abuse and related mental health issues. Each one of our clients receive treatment and attention in both group and individual settings from our doctors. We are pleased to provide the highest level clinical care to every client that walks through our doors.

The Bergand Group offers varying levels of intensity in outpatient services, both individual and group. Efforts are made to match clients with appropriate doctors and therapists. Pharmacologic therapy, drug monitoring and prescribing, use of antagonist and blocking agents, buprenorphine- both detox and maintenance, can be offered as part of our intensive outpatient alcohol and drug treatment programs (IOP).

We are continuously accepting patients for psychiatry, addiction medicine, and individual and family therapy. We encourage you to call to speak with our practice manager about our services and how you may best be served by our flexible treatment approach.
