About CODAC North Main
CODAC Behavioral Healthcare in Providence, Rhode Island is the largest and oldest nonprofit outpatient addiction treatment facility in the state. They have more than 50 years of experience helping individuals and families overcome addiction. At this facility, they provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) to help ease the process of detox. CODAC accepts Medicaid, Ritecare and most forms of health insurance for payment.
The medications they have to help you through withdrawal are methadone, buprenorphine, injectable depot naltrexone and oral naltrexone. Each of these medications is designed to minimize physical cravings. Some of the medications may be taken daily, while others may be administered once a month. The physician will help you decide which option is best for your needs.
As you go through the process of withdrawal, you’ll be supported through counseling and behavioral therapeutic approaches. Those behavioral therapeutic approaches may include cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
You will work with professionals who are trained, licensed, and experienced in helping people dealing with addiction. The medication assisted program at CODAC has been nationally recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It has also been recognized by the State of Rhode Island Department of Healthcare.
As clients get through the process of detox, they have the option of pursuing additional recovery options offered at CODAC, which include the intensive outpatient program and other general outpatient services. The facility does its best to get individuals the care they need as soon as possible. After a phone call or an email, they’ll help you get started with a treatment plan within 24 to 48 hours.
