About OneWorld Community Health Centers
OneWorld Community Health Center has provided community services for Nebraskan adults, youth, and families since 1970. You can access behavioral health services in person and via telehealth. This includes medication assisted treatment (MAT). They also have programs for the LGBTQ+ community and women’s health needs. Primary care is also available, including dentistry and for those with mobility issues. It’s based in metropolitan Omaha.
Flexible Payment Options
One feature that caught my attention was their flexible payment options. They accept most insurance plans as well as Medicaid, Medicare, and self pay. Don’t worry because you can still get assistance even if you’re uninsured or underinsured. They offer sliding scale fee discounts based on your income and household size.
Medication Assisted Treatment
With MAT, you can manage physical and emotional aspects of quitting opioids or alcohol. They prescribe FDA-approved Suboxone and buprenorphine. These meds really ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings. You’ll also participate in behavioral health services to recognize and change behaviors that contribute to addiction.
Social Supports
They help you set goals to reduce health barriers and promote self-sufficiency in essential life areas. You can access shelter, clothing and food. Care for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors are also addressed.
It’s also awesome that they have a learning center and host community events. You can really connect with others and find better ways to manage your stress without drugs. You can also pick up tips to stay healthy so you’ll look and feel great.
Client Experiences
There are some mixed reviews associated with OneWorld. Many previous clients enjoyed their time and found their recovery productive. One mentioned pleasant interactions with staff and personalized services. However, some had issues with billing.
