About Virtue At The Pointe Recovery Center
Virtue at the Pointe (VATP) Recovery Center in Astoria, Oregon, is an inpatient addiction treatment facility. The center offers beautiful views of the city and the Astoria-Megler Bridge. They’re certified by The Joint Commission, LegitScript, BBB, and the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers.
Medical Detoxification for Substance Withdrawals
The center offers medical detoxification to reduce your withdrawal symptoms and cravings. During detox you will be able to rest in your private queen sized bed, enjoy a private bathroom, and watch television in your room.
After detox, you can transition into residential treatment. The center provides treatment using holistic and trauma informed therapy. You’ll learn new coping skills through yoga, art therapy, and music therapy.
Counseling and Medication Assisted Treatment
Individual counseling sessions will allow you to explore family dynamics, social issues, and other situations that may have led to your substance use. The treatment team may approve you for medication assisted treatment. Methadone is commonly prescribed for opioid addiction.
Dual diagnosis treatment is available if you have underlying mental health issues that cause substance use. Many times anxiety, depression, PTSD, or bipolar disorders will lead to self medicating and then addiction.
Specialized treatment is available for veterans. The treatment focuses on PTSD, trauma related mental health issues, and co-occurring disorders.
After care includes attendance at 12-step meetings and an assigned case manager who is there to support you. If you have legal issues, VATP can provide you with legal services. They can refer you to a local intensive outpatient program or a sober living home if you need a structured environment during early recovery.

Levels of Care
-
Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
-
Outpatient
In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.
-
PHP
Partial hospitalization programs provide comprehensive treatment in a structured setting during the day but allow you to return home at night. These programs offer a balance of inpatient and outpatient rehab and provide intensive support without full time residency.
