About Southside Treatment Center
Located in Richmond, Virginia, is the Southside Treatment Center. It’s not far from the James River. This is a rehab facility that offers medication assisted treatment (MAT) to men and women working through opioid use disorders. They can also help you work through other dependencies on prescription drugs and other substances.
Policies from major insurance providers are accepted here, and they also accept Medicaid and Medicare. They’re open weekdays and Saturdays.
Specialized Treatment Programs
Southside Treatment Center specializes in treatment tracks here for pregnant women, young adults who are at a transitional age in their lives, seniors, gender specific care, and individuals who have co-occurring mental health conditions.
Medication Assisted Treatment
At the core of their programming is MAT that uses FDA-approved methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. When used alongside traditional recovery practices like talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), you can make lasting changes in your life because issues like cravings and lingering withdrawal symptoms can be better managed.
Wrap Around Support
There are a number of treatment modalities available here to help you work through addiction. For example, you’ll be supported through the traditional 12 steps, and there are also specialized recovery programs that address relapse prevention and related factors that have played into your addiction.
This facility provides a continuum of services, including evaluations and assessments, as well as routine medical examinations. This helps the care team understand all aspects of your medical history so that you receive the appropriate treatment. After you graduate, you can get referred to other programs within the community.

They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
