Karen’s Place utilizes the best practices of clinical drug treatment combined with a core Christian discipleship program. Karen’s Place is a CARF accredited, state-licensed Alcohol & Other Drug Entity (AODE) and Behavioral Health Services Organization (BHSO) Residential Program. These designations signify that Karen’s Place utilizes the best practices of clinical drug rehab. We have a physician as our medical director, licensed counselors and certified alcohol & drug counselors (CADCs), pastoral counselors and trained peer support specialists staffing our treatment program.
Residents participate in one hour of weekly individual counseling, 15 hours weekly of recovery small groups (12 Steps, NA/AA, Living Free & Celebrate Recovery) and group therapy sessions. We offer groups & counseling in relationships, parenting, self esteem, relapse prevention, aftercare, career & personality testing, DUI program, GED, anger management, and wellness.
The peaceful community of Louisa is located 10 minutes away from Karen’s Place. Louisa has just under 2,500 residents and is located at the conflux of the Levisa Fork and Tug Fork Rivers, which join to form the Big Sandy River. The Big Sandy River forms Kentucky’s northeastern border with West Virginia, making Karen’s Place easily accessible from Ohio, West Virginia or Kentucky.
Over 90 percent of our clients at Karen’s Place are Kentucky Medicaid members. We are happy to answer any questions you have about the cost of treatment as a Medicaid member.
