Treatment Options
Treatment at Lifeline Connections for detox is typical of most outpatient facilities. It usually includes
Medications

Buprenorphine (Suboxone) is often used to manage patients’ opioid-based withdrawal symptoms. Patients are then weaned off the drug or maintained on it depending on their specific needs.
Naltrexone (Vivitrol) is sometimes prescribed to patients after their opioid withdrawal symptoms have subsided in order to help them avoid relapse.
Other medications may be prescribed to treat withdrawal and/or treat co-occurring mental disorders.

Behavioral therapy

Different behavioral therapy sessions are utilized for different patients, but usually, the program consists of both individualized and group therapy.
Patients can expect to meet in a group session one, two, or three times a week. There is also a monthly group session.
