Nestled at the entrance to Yakima Canyon, Sundown M Ranch in Yakima, Washington, has been providing residential and outpatient substance use treatment for adults and young people since 1968. Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited, they were the first nonprofit substance use disorder residential treatment in the state. Staff are available 24/7, and a medical director is onsite at all times. They admit new clients seven days a week.
Specialty Groups
With patient centered care based on the 12 Steps, their residential programs also offer withdrawal management and medication assisted treatment (MAT) with Suboxone, Naltrexone, and Vivitrol. Gender specific therapy groups are paired with education and exercise. They have specialty groups such as Relapse Prevention, an Elders group, and a Postpartum group. Adults can participate in parenting classes.
A Range of Amenities
They provide a wide range of amenities, from home cooked meals to a 7,000 square foot gym. Rooms are semiprivate, and they offer daily housekeeping. Laundry services are weekly. If you have a disability, accommodations are available. They offer disc golf, volleyball, softball, flag football, and basketball. Located on 30 acres of land, the facility has plenty of space for walking and running. It’s also not too far from Selah Cliffs if hiking and nature helps you unwind.
