About Cedar Recovery
Cedar Recovery is an outpatient Suboxone clinic in a commercial district in Columbia, Tennessee. The organization is CARF-accredited. They offer care to adults who have substance use disorder.
Tennessee’s Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services does provide their programs with grant funding. They accept Medicaid and Medicare. If you’re uninsured, you’ll have the option to self pay and grant funding when available.
A combination of evidence based treatment and empathetic care will be used to help you overcome addiction. You’ll first undergo a comprehensive assessment with one of their licensed therapists. You’ll go over your story and struggles, as well as your goals for treatment. This will help the medical team develop a personalized treatment that will be safe and effective for you.
If needed, medication assisted treatment (MAT) will be added to your treatment plan. MAT is combined with therapeutic interventions that include behavioral therapy. This will help you develop the necessary coping skills that are needed to manage your triggers. You’ll also be able to address any underlying mental health concerns. I like that they’ll send over your Suboxone prescription to your preferred pharmacy. Suboxone is FDA approved to help manage withdrawal symptoms.
When you first start your treatment, you’ll have weekly appointments. These appointments are to ensure that you’re being closely monitored and receiving the support that you are needing. What stood out to me is that their team will work closely with you and your schedule to make sure that your appointments fit around your life. During these appointments, your treatment plan and medication will be adjusted to make sure your progress and well-being are maximized.
Counseling is a first step, but you should also rest your body and your spirit. Columbia has plenty of sites to complement your recovery offsite. Woodland Park isn’t too far away and Cook Soccer Park is in the opposite direction, if you prefer exercise in the great outdoors.
