About City/County Alcohol and Drug Programs

City County Alcohol and Drug Programs is a county operated addiction treatment facility overseen by the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, serving adults and families throughout the Black Hills region of South Dakota.

The program offers a full continuum of care including residential treatment, detox services, intensive outpatient programs and specialized methamphetamine and opioid treatment.

With a “No Wrong Door” philosophy, the facility ensures accessible comprehensive care for anyone seeking recovery regardless of how they enter treatment.

Specialized Methamphetamine and Opioid Treatment Programs

City County Alcohol and Drug Programs provides a long term Intensive Methamphetamine Treatment program and dedicated opioid treatment services, addressing the substance use challenges most prevalent in western South Dakota.

The multi-phase methamphetamine and opiate day treatment program runs six to eight months, offering structured, evidence based care tailored to these specific substance use disorders.

Detox, Residential Treatment and Partial Hospitalization

Beyond specialized programs, the facility offers 24/7 social setting detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient services for cooccurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Walk in assessments are available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and the multidisciplinary team includes registered nurses, emergency medical technicians and a medical director supporting client safety and recovery.
