Based in Laramie, Wyoming, Peak Wellness Center is an accredited mental health and addiction treatment facility that merged with VOA in 2021. As one of several of their locations, the facility is part of an organization that was founded back in 1959 as the Southeast Wyoming Mental Health Center. It’s since grown to become one of the most trusted private nonprofits of its kind in the state. Support is available here to veterans, with Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurance options accepted. Sliding scale services are also available.
Outpatient Drug Rehab Services in Laramie
For more flexible support, you can access care through the organization’s intensive outpatient program (IOP). This combines group counseling sessions, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and case management to see clients build their knowledge and learn practical skills to support them in their recovery and their personal relationships.
Support groups are also integrated into the program and led by experienced therapists. These groups provide a confidential space for participants to talk about and share their experience with peers and develop important recovery skills.
Wider care is provided for the whole family, including addiction education sessions, individual and family counseling, along with specialized programming for kids, and referrals to helpful community resources. These services may also be offered by referral.
Drug Detox Referrals in Albany County
For clients at the beginning of their recovery journey, non-medical detox services may be available by referral to other local facilities. Many clients may continue their care in the center’s residential program. This is available to veterans, as well as women with young children.

In outpatient therapy, you’ll attend therapy sessions several times each week while living at home. This is ideal if you have a strong support system and a lower risk of relapse. Outpatient treatment offers flexibility to maintain work, school or family obligations.

Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.
