About Recover Wyoming
Recover Wyoming in Cheyenne supports adults seeking support for long-term recovery from addiction. Care extends to individuals struggling with concurrent mental health issues, clients referred by the criminal justice system, pregnant individuals, as well as those at risk of, or currently experiencing homelessness. All services here are provided free of charge.
A Safe Space For Growth & Recovery From Addiction
This facility provides a welcoming, safe and sober space in which you can seriously commit yourself to your recovery. The space itself features various meeting areas, a living room, staff offices, as well as games like football and table tennis you can play on in your downtime. It might also be possible to drop by nearby attractions like Curt Gowdy State Park during excursions.
Detox services aren’t provided here, but the team can guide you towards local facilities that can help you with this. It’s always recommended that you undergo the detox process with professional guidance and supervision for your safety.
Pathways to Recovery & Recovery Support Services
Clients here can access “Bridges to Recovery” meetings that are designed to meet them where they’re at, wherever that may be. These meetings are designed to honor varying pathways to recovery, alongside peer-based services like recovery coaching, and telephone recovery support (TRS).
The facility also hosts an initiative known as PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness). This program is designed to specifically support homeless individuals, or those at risk of homelessness with substance abuse and mental health issues.
The facility as a whole operates as a Recovery Community Organization (RCO), meaning it aims to bridge the gap between the treatment period, and long-term recovery.
Training and support are also provided here to support Wyoming Peer Specialists who’re individuals in recovery who’ve selflessly decided to support others on their recovery journeys, too.
