Region 8 Mental Health is an addiction treatment center in Hazlehurst, Mississippi that serves women in Copiah County and surrounding areas. Medically Supervised Detox and Programs

Region 8 provides medically supervised detox for alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and methamphetamine followed by short term and long term residential treatment. The center also offers regular outpatient services and an Intensive Outpatient Program to support continued recovery after residential care ends.

This program serves adult women including pregnant and postpartum women. Region 8 specializes in treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, trauma survivors, criminal justice clients, intimate partner violence survivors, LGBTQ individuals, and those living with HIV/AIDS.

Substance Use Treatment Approaches

The center uses evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma related counseling.

Medication Assisted Treatment with naltrexone is available along with individual, group, family, and couples counseling. Support services include case management, vocational training, transportation assistance, and aftercare planning.
