Weems Community Mental Health Center Lauderdale County is a non-profit addiction treatment and mental health provider in Meridian, Mississippi serving families across the Region 10 service area. Clients benefit from strong continuity of care including peer led recovery support groups that continue for a full year after treatment ends.

What addiction treatment programs are available?

Weems LifeCare provides a 30 day residential program for adults 18 and older plus an extended secondary residential option up to 60 days that allows clients to work during the day.

The center also offers a 10 week intensive outpatient program with three evening group sessions per week, client counseling, and family involvement as well as a parallel adolescent IOP and a state approved DUI program.

Clients in need of detox services are referred to a local treatment facility.

Who can get help at Weems?

The residential LifeCare program serves adult men and women 18 and older while outpatient services are available for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Weems also offers dual diagnosis groups for clients managing co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.

Weems serves a nine county region across central Mississippi with additional county offices for outpatient care.

Does Weems accept insurance or offer payment help?

Weems accepts Medicaid, Medicare, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, and other plans and offers a sliding fee scale based on family size and income with a minimum fee of $35. Services are not denied based on inability to pay.
