Hilliard, Ohio Treatment Center Opens as Overdose Deaths Fall
Published: 10/20/2026

Central Ohio has a new option for structured addiction care with Foundations Group Recovery Centers Ohio opening a new addiction treatment center at 3499 Main Street in Hilliard on October 19.
The facility spans more than 12,000 square feet. It moved from its former Upper Arlington location to have more reach across the western Columbus suburbs. The center can serve up to 150 clients and offers space for group sessions individual therapy and medication management.
The center offers full day and half day mental health treatment along with partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. It allows adults to receive help during the day but still live at home.
The organization uses personalized care backed by research to treat substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Services include medication assisted treatment, aftercare planning and family support.
The Joint Commission accredits the facility. It also accepts major private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE.
The opening comes as Franklin County overdose deaths are declining. Yet the need for urgent addiction care remains high.
What Partial Hospitalization and Day Treatment Provide
The new center offers levels of care that address a problem many families face, which is that someone who leaves residential treatment or medical detox often needs more support than a weekly therapy session can provide.
Partial hospitalization programs classified as Level 2.5 care under Ohio administrative rules fill that gap.
Clients attend five to six hours of structured clinical treatment each day for five days a week without staying overnight.
Intensive outpatient programs offer a less demanding schedule. People attend treatment for several hours at a time while keeping up with work or family responsibilities.
Day treatment gives adults another option when they need mental health care alongside substance use treatment. Together these programs create a range of support that allows people to move to more or less intensive care as their needs change.
That flexibility matters most in the weeks after detox when the risk of relapse runs high. The Hilliard center also offers medication assisted treatment to help reduce cravings and protect the progress people make during early recovery.
Franklin County Numbers Improve but Demand Stays High
This decline offers encouraging signs that expanded treatment and naloxone access with harm reduction efforts may be making a difference.
Still the need for urgent care remains substantial. Franklin County’s 24 hour Crisis Care Center recorded more than 6000 patient service presentations in its first year after opening in September 2025, which highlights how many people still need help during a crisis.
Other developments have raised concerns about the local treatment system. Maryhaven, a safety net provider that has served Central Ohio since the 1950s, faced financial turmoil earlier this year.
In September state regulators indicted 18 providers in a Medicaid fraud sweep. An accredited provider that adds treatment capacity can help expand access as the region works through these challenges.
Finding the Right Level of Care in Ohio
The new Hilliard center highlights an important point for anyone considering treatment. Recovery does not always require the most intensive program. It requires the right level of support at the right time.
Partial hospitalization can help people who need more support after residential treatment or who need to step up from outpatient care when symptoms worsen.
Intensive outpatient programs may work better for people with stable housing and a strong support network who need structured treatment several days a week.
If you are unsure which option fits your needs an Ohio addiction treatment center can assess your situation and recommend where to start.
After a detox program, the next step matters just as much as the first. Franklin County now has another place where people can seek that support. Call 800-996-6135 to learn more about treatment options.
