About Quentin Price MD Crisis Residential Unit
The Quentin Price, MD Crisis Stabilization Unit in Dublin, Georgia, is a community program that receives referred individuals. They offer detoxification and medically monitored crisis stabilization. The unit seeks to avoid long term hospitalization for people with addiction and instead provide the immediate stabilization they need so they can proceed with recovery.
Medicaid, Medicare and other insurance coverages are accepted. You will not be denied services due to your inability to pay so they make sure everyone who needs services will get them.
Voluntary or involuntary admission is available for adults who need intervention, stabilization or detoxification. Admission is possible 24 hours per day and accepted are those experiencing a mental health crisis, severe withdrawals from substance use, or over intoxication.
Supervised Detox and Medication Administration
Your stay in the stabilization unit will consist of daily evaluations, supervised medication administration, and group education. This includes medications to help ease your withdrawal symptoms. This is a short term facility so clients are typically here for five days or less.
Care During Discharge
After you have detox and stabilized and you’re ready to be discharged, you will be referred to a local outpatient substance use treatment center. You will have a follow up appointment with the stabilization unit within seven days of leaving the facility. Five days worth of medication and 30 days worth of prescriptions will be given to you upon discharge as well so you have time to get to a treatment center and get the care you need.
A Welcoming Respite with Convenient Amenities
Clients have described the doctors as a gift from God and the facility as being top notch for those suffering from substance abuse, suicide, and severe depression. Pizza from Papa Johns and hamburgers from Hardee’s or Burger King are a weekend favorite. Smokers are given frequent smoke breaks and snack and drink machines are available.
The clinic quotes Mahatma Gandhi in saying that the clinic is dependent on customers and not the other way around. You are the purpose of their work and not an interruption. You are doing the clinic a favor by allowing them to serve you.
