About Carolina Center for Behavioral Health
The Adult Substance Use Disorders Program provides treatment for adult patients (age 18 and older) who struggle with substance abuse. The level of care and other treatment details are determined by an initial assessment. We offer both inpatient and intensive outpatient programs to meet the needs of every patient dealing with drug or alcohol addiction or co-occurring disorders.
The Chemical Dependency/Dual-Diagnosis Inpatient Program includes appropriate detoxification with a variety of medications, determined by evidence-based practices and motivational interviews to help patients overcome addiction. 24-hour intensive nursing care and physician coverage help ensure withdrawal symptoms are effectively managed and the risk of relapse is reduced.
We also provide group and individual counseling in a rehabilitation setting. We use the 12-step program to teach patients new skills that will help them sustain recovery.
The Adult Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program (CDIOP) meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The program includes group therapy and educational sessions focused on relapse prevention, 12-step orientation, and improved relationships and communication.
There is also a family education session held each week. Family members are encouraged to participate in this crucial component of the treatment program.
