Primary Focus
- Addiction Recovery
The Mooring Programs, Inc. has been helping men, women, and their families recover from drug and alcohol problems for over 35 years. At the core or our work is a belief in the dignity and worth of each human being. For those who demonstrate signs of substance abuse disorders, we provide a safe place to find recovery. Our goal is to promote a drug and alcohol free lifestyle which, once achieved, will unleash each person’s unique human potential.
While we have one common mission, we at Mooring House and Casa Clare are committed to a philosophy whereby the treatment programs and corresponding facilities for men and women remain separate and gender-specific to ensure optimal outcomes. We understand that women with children may encounter additional barriers to seeking treatment. To address this, Casa Clare provides four rooms for women and their children, along with a playground area.
The Mooring Programs, Inc. offers the full range of treatment options from intensive, medically monitored, inpatient treatment through transitional, apartment and post-treatment aftercare . Clients have the opportunity to participate in the treatment process from 30 days to 18 months, depending on how invested they choose to be. The average length of stay is eight months.
Mental health issues (i.e., depression, anxiety) often co-exist with substance abuse issues. We offer a multi-disciplinary treatment program with professionals certified in both mental health and substance abuse. In treatment, our clients work on all aspects of their lives: psychological, physical, social, and spiritual. We take a supportive, empathetic, non-blaming treatment approach that emphasizes personal empowerment, choice, balance, and independence, also recognizing the need for healthy fun.
After successful treatment, clients prepare for their transition back into the community. Emphasizing empowerment, clients actively participate in developing individualized, ongoing aftercare plans that will help support and guide them as they return to their lives outside our facilities. We recognize that recovery is a long-term process; therefore, individuals who complete the program retain access to our experienced, compassionate, and well-trained staff for ongoing support. Our door is always open.
To enter any program, individuals must have a primary diagnosis of alcoholism/chemical dependency. Each must be willing to participate in the treatment experience, comply with program rules and expectations, have a desire to develop independent living skills and a support network to promote ongoing recovery, be at least 18 years of age, and commit to being alcohol- and drug-free.
