Chateau Recovery has been around since 2012. It’s a private rehab with 16 beds for adults aged 26 and over who have substance use and disorders and dual diagnoses. You’ll find ’em located out in the remote Wasatch Mountains of Midway, Utah. You’ll reside on their campus, but the real highlight is outside the chateau. In fact, you’re surrounded by natural splendor and raw nature for up to 90 days before transitioning into the outpatient program. But there’s also aftercare programs that’ll make sure your supported for a long recovery.
When you sign up, you’ll have several treatment options. These tracks include individual and group sessions with a mix of traditional and holistic approaches. There’s cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to help you understand your triggers. You can add to them with courses on how to improve your diet, yoga, animal-assisted therapy, and acupuncture.
They also have a first responder program with an even greater focus. They’ll help tackle the stress and trauma that can come with working on the front lines. One special workshop is to address underlying stigmas that can stop you from seeking treatment. They network with many local resources to make sure you’re mentally and physically fit before going back out to serve others.
Another element I noticed was their impressive amenities. You can enjoy their walking and hiking paths and outdoor common areas while taking in the panromantic views of the Wasatch Mountains. They have a fitness center, sports courts and a ropes course, and rock climbing. You’ll have plenty of chances to explore new interests while honing your mind and body. if you like adventure therapy or have a keen interest in recreational sports that push you to the limit, this might be a good fit.
Lastly, their alumni program is fantastic. They offer continuous support and encouragement to help you stay on track in your journey. You can participate in weekly group sessions to strengthen your coping skills. They even offer family therapy sessions to reconnect with your loved ones.
While they accept many insurance providers, they don’t currently take Medicare or Medicaid.
