About Nambe Pueblo/SAP
Nambe Pueblo SAP, also known as Tewa Roots Society, is a Tribal government operated substance use and mental health treatment center serving Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The program offers outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient care and outpatient detoxification for alcohol, opioids, methamphetamines, benzodiazepines and cocaine.
Services prioritize Nambé Pueblo Tribal members first, Indigenous community members second and all New Mexico residents third, with culturally rooted care that honors Tewa traditions and Indigenous healing.
What payment options are accepted?
They accepts IHS Tribal Urban funds, Medicaid, federal and state funding, SAMHSA grants, private insurance, military insurance and cash or self payment. Payment assistance and a sliding fee scale are available based on income.
What programs are available?
Nambe Pueblo SAP provides regular outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment along with outpatient detox services. The program includes individual, group, family and couples counseling, evidence based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, Matrix Model and 12 step facilitation, as well as medication assisted treatment using buprenorphine for opioid use disorder.
Who can get help here?
The center serves adolescents, transitional age young adults, adult men and women, pregnant and postpartum women, seniors, LGBTQ+ clients, veterans, active duty military and their families, persons with HIV or AIDS, trauma and domestic violence survivors and individuals referred by the court system.
Priority access is given to Native American and Indigenous populations, with specialized understanding of historical trauma and cultural identity.
Where is the center located?
The facility is in Santa Fe, approximately 18 miles north of the city at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Both in person and telehealth services are available.
