About New Roads Treatment Center Provo

New Roads Treatment Center is a nonprofit behavioral health provider in Provo, Utah specializing in complex mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use disorders. They deliver therapist led and evidence based treatment designed to help adults build lasting stability through structured community support and individualized care.

The center treats substance use as a co-occurring disorder with a primary focus on mental health issues. Medication management is available but clients who need medically supervised detox are referred.

DBT Informed Treatment for Complex Mental Health

New Roads specializes in treating borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and OCD, suicidal ideation, and dual diagnosis conditions. The residential programs use an Assertive Community Treatment team model with daily coordination among psychiatrists and therapists along with case managers and nurses to address each client’s unique needs.

Treatment integrates dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy in addition to motivational interviewing to help clients manage distress, build coping skills, and address root causes.

Sessions emphasize skills practice and mindfulness with real world application and corresponding structured group therapy and client counseling with psychiatric support tailored to your progress.

Gender Responsive Residential Programming

New Roads offers separate residential tracks to support different gender and presentation groups. The NRTH program serves male and AMAB individuals, while the WRTH program serves female, AFAB, and genderqueer individuals creating affirming environments where clients can focus on healing within tailored peer communities.
