About New Roads Behavioral Health

New Roads Behavioral Health is a nonprofit behavioral health treatment center in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. The program focuses on dual diagnosis care for substance use and complex mental health conditions. They offer residential treatment, transitional living, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and general outpatient programs at several locations throughout Utah.

Gender specific programming is available. Many clients describe the DBT skills training, supportive environment, and distinctive transitional living model as truly life changing.

Residential and Various Outpatient Treatments Available

New Roads offers residential treatment, transitional living with semi-independent apartments, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient services, including virtual IOP, and general outpatient care. Personalized treatment plans may include individual therapy, group therapy, family counseling, and psychiatric services to address both substance use and mental health needs. Medication assisted treatment using Suboxone, Vivitrol, and oral naltrexone is available for individuals seeking support with opioid addiction.

Who Can Get Help Here?

The center serves transitional age young adults between 18 and 28 years, adult men and women, and LGBTQ+ clients who are managing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. New Roads specializes in complex cases, including borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders and autism spectrum disorder. Three gender specific programs operate across locations: PaTH for young men, WRTH for women ages 18 to 28, and NRTH for men with severe and persistent mental health conditions.

Where Is The Center Located?

Residential facilities are based in Provo and are set within Utah’s mountain landscape. Virtual IOP services are offered statewide and are also available to individuals outside of Utah. 

New Roads accepts most major private insurance plans, including Humana, SelectHealth, UnitedHealthcare, BlueCross Blue Shield and Cigna. The center also works with military insurance, Medicare, state financed coverage, and cash payment options. As a nonprofit organization, New Roads is committed to keeping care accessible and affordable.
