About Pomarri LLC
Pomarri is in Sandy, Utah, and has the motto “Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit.” All services are included at each location. Their Sandy site isn’t far from The Leonardo Museum. Their care includes outpatient detox, classes, medications, and doctor visits. The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and other insurance coverages.
Outpatient Medical Drug Detox
Outpatient medical drug detox allows clients to rid their bodies of harmful substances without dangerous withdrawals. Detox typically lasts eight to 12 weeks. You can continue working or going to school during detox.
Co-occurring Mental Health Disorders
According to Pomarri, one in five individuals in the United States have a mental health disorder and half of those turn to substance use. The center will treat co-occurring disorders concurrently for best results.
Major depressive disorder is most commonly seen by the center as a co-occurring disorder. Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to treat both disorders while being supplemented by prescribed medications.
Substance Use Treatments and Therapies
The center uses a matrix model supplemented by a number of therapies to treat substance use. Therapies used include behavioral approaches, moral recognition, experiential (trust), and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
Neuroplasty is a form of treatment that allows the brain to rewire itself, resulting in more positive behaviors. Addiction and substances alter the chemistry of our brain.
Primarily affected are neurotransmitters that regulate our mood, our motivation, and sense of reward. With substance use hijacking these emotions, we believe we’re only happy, motivated, and rewarded when using substances.
Treatments help you develop healthier relationships, healthier boundaries, feel a more positive sense of self-worth, and develop rational thinking. Treatment is strength based, client centered and incorporates exercise therapy.
