About Project Reality Salt Lake City

Project Reality Salt Lake City is an addiction treatment center in Utah that specializes in opioid use disorder treatment through comprehensive medication assisted treatment programs. With over 50 years of experience they use evidence based harm reduction approaches individualized to each client’s recovery goals.

Outpatient Detox for Opioid Use

Treatment begins with an intake assessment to determine the most suitable plan, with clients able to access outpatient detoxification and medication assisted treatment using methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), Sublocade, naltrexone, or Vivitrol. The program includes on site medication dispensing with observed daily dosing and morning hours to accommodate work and family schedules.

Therapy and Practical Resources

Clients participate in individual therapy, group counseling, and family or couples sessions using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed approaches.

The center also treats co-occurring mental health disorders, offers psychiatric assessments, and provides recovery support services such as housing assistance, employment counseling, peer mentoring, naloxone education, and discharge planning.

The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, private insurance, IHS/Tribal funds, state funding, and offers sliding fee scales. They never deny services to a client who cannot pay. They feature an on site drug testing lab, medication dispensing, weekend availability, telemedicine options, and 24/7 crisis center.
