Partial Hospitalization (PHP) for Substance Abuse in Northwestern Vermont
PHP here offers structured care that works beautifully as an extension or alternative to long-term or residential treatment. In this program, you’ll have access to medication assisted treatment (MAT) along with various other support services for a truly multi-faceted treatment approach. Services include individual and group therapy, life skills and relapse prevention sessions, and the 12 Steps. You may also find yourself taking part in meditation sessions or experiencing acudetox.
The time commitment required for this program is 18-25 hours per week for clinical and non-clinical services. Once you’ve completed the program, you might step down onto the intensive outpatient program (IOP).
IOP Addiction Treatment on The Eastern Shore of Lake Champlain
IOP may be your go-to for drug rehab services from the jump, or it may be a program you transition into from PHP or inpatient care. It features an integrative approach that treats you as a whole person rather than just an addiction. Similarly to PHP, you’ll experience various treatment services, including trauma-informed care, internal family systems, and family or origin work to help you address some of the deeper roots of your behavioral issues. Following a personalized treatment plan, you’ll also work with the 12 Step model, as well as mental health and spiritual care services.
Therapy styles you might also engage in on this program include cognitive (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). IOP requires 12 hours of commitment per week.

Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.
