Serenity Acres Treatment Center was founded by Larry Adler out in Crownsville. Maryland. It was a former addiction treatment center that served adults aged 18 and older. Support extended to individuals with concurrent mental health issues. The center used to accept private insurance plans, and self-pay options. However, it’s now closed.
Medical Detox & Residential Drug Rehab Services
Once located on over 30 acres of stunning woodlands, the center boasted seven residential homes, providing both short and long-term support programs for individuals with substance abuse issues.
Medical detox services were also provided with a dedicated team available to help clients safely withdraw from addictive substances.
Residents could benefit from gourmet kitchens where they would enjoy nutritious meals to fuel their recovery. Other impressive amenities included three swimming pools, saunas, as well as indoor and outdoor fireplaces to stay cozy in the winter.
There was also a yoga studio, and meditation rooms to integrate holistic wellness practices. In their downtime, clients could relax with activities like shuffleboard, ping pong, horseshoes, billiards.
Dual Diagnosis Support & Holistic Outpatient Treatment
Dual diagnosis treatment was emphasized here to allow clients to address their addiction and any underlying conditions that may be exacerbating it.
Like the residential program, the outpatient program also featured experiential and holistic therapies, alongside more traditional methods. Participants could expect to engage in equine therapy, acupuncture, massage, and yoga.
