Serenity Acres Treatment Center LLC provided comprehensive addiction recovery services for adults in Crownsville, Maryland. They’re closed now but their programs included medical detox, gender-specific residential treatment and aftercare services, including specialized support for clients with co-occurring conditions.
Clients requiring acute or subacute medical detox treatment could safely withdraw from alcohol, opioids and other substances in the facility’s inpatient center. A team of multi-disciplinary providers provided medication assisted treatment, administering FDA-approved addiction medications to ease the physical side effects of withdrawal, reduce cravings and lower the risk of relapse.
In addition to MAT, residential treatment clients could also participate in an array of holistic and evidence-based therapies while living at the residence. These included animal therapy, yoga and medication, as well as individual and group therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, relapse-prevention training, 12 Step programming and related support services. Outdoor fireplaces, horseback riding trails and pool tables were available on-site for client recreation.
Once clients graduated from the residential program, providers connected them with community based educational, vocational and therapeutic programs to prevent relapse and encourage long-term sobriety.
