State of the Heart Recovery is a SAMHSA certified outpatient treatment center in Albuquerque, New Mexico serving adults and young adults with substance use disorders. The nonprofit program offers a full continuum of care including intensive outpatient treatment and medication assisted treatment, virtual addiction services and comprehensive counseling. State of the Heart integrates cutting edge 21st century technologies with evidence based and holistic therapies to create personalized treatment plans that support lasting recovery.
Innovative Addiction Treatment
State of the Heart blends traditional evidence based care with innovative modalities to address the full scope of addiction. The program incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, contingency management and trauma focused counseling alongside unique offerings like virtual reality therapy, sensory deprivation tanks and cold water therapy, acudetox and mindfulness practices.
As a certified opioid treatment program, State of the Heart provides medication assisted treatment with methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone for opioid and alcohol use disorders.
Treatment is enhanced by digital therapeutics, including mobile apps with feedback that allow clients to track progress and build skills between sessions while addressing both substance use and co-occurring mental health or pain disorders.
Wraparound Support
Beyond clinical treatment, State of the Heart offers comprehensive recovery support services through certified peer support workers. Clients receive guidance with employment, education and housing, nutrition and life skills to support successful community reintegration and long term wellness.
