The facility offers inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs that address substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and dual diagnosis needs.

All services are licensed by the State of Maryland and accredited by The Joint Commission. Care is grounded in evidence based practices that emphasize abstinence, stability, and long term recovery management.

Comprehensive Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment

Suburban Hospital treats a wide range of substance use and mental health conditions through a coordinated team of licensed clinicians, certified addiction counselors, and master addiction counselors. Your program may begin with detox. The clinicians are especially experienced in dual diagnosis care for individuals who are managing both emotional health concerns and substance related challenges.

Treatment combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and 12 step facilitation with individual, group, and family counseling. Sessions focus on relapse prevention, anger management, and resolving underlying emotional and behavioral concerns. Each client receives a thorough biopsychosocial assessment and a personalized treatment plan. The facility maintains a drug and alcohol free environment, supported by random testing, to help reinforce recovery goals.

Complete Continuum of Care Options

The facility offers coordinated transitions across multiple levels of care to align with each individual’s changing needs. Services include a 24 bed inpatient unit with continuous supervision, partial hospitalization programs that meet five days per week, intensive outpatient services offered three days per week, and structured outpatient counseling over seven weeks. Crisis intervention support is available at all times through the Emergency Department.

The hospital accepts Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and most private insurance plans. Sliding scale payment assistance is also available for eligible individuals.
