Santa Monica Inc, operating as Santa Monica House is a long-term residential recovery program for women with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions in Omaha, Nebraska. The program offers a full continuum of care including residential treatment, transitional living, community support and intensive outpatient services.
Although they do not provide detox, Santa Monica includes trauma-informed, holistic treatment within a structured, women-centered environment that emphasizes counseling, peer support, and skill-building for lasting sobriety.
Women’s Residential Recovery
Santa Monica House specializes in gender-specific recovery housing for women struggling with addiction and alcoholism. The program uses a trauma-informed approach that includes individual counseling, group therapy and educational programming designed to address both substance use and co-occurring mental health needs.
Residents participate in groups focused on relapse prevention, life skills, and healthy coping strategies within a supportive home-like setting. Treatment addresses the mind, body, and spirit through holistic care that targets root causes while building practical tools for daily living.
The structured environment promotes accountability and peer connection with expectations around attendance at AA/NA meetings, obtaining employment, and maintaining sobriety.
Continuum of Care and Transitional Support
Beyond primary residential treatment, Santa Monica offers transitional housing, permanent supportive housing and a unique Housing First program that reduces barriers to stable recovery. Family supportive housing is available for women with children, providing case management and wraparound services to support mothers in recovery.
