About Army Substance Abuse Program ASAP

Army Substance Abuse Program or ASAP at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, provides free treatment for substance abuse and abuse related conditions to soldiers, veterans, and their family members.

The program was designed with the belief that the strength and effectiveness of the Army’s workforce must be addressed to improve combat readiness in the protection of America. This includes maintaining a drug free environment at the military installation in Hawaii.

New Model to Deliver Behavioral Health Care

They provide several types of programs at the facility, utilizing a new model for behavioral health care and substance use disorder treatment in an integrated and unit aligned manner. Clinical services are provided for the 25th Infantry Division and the 8th Theater Sustainment Command.

They also offer programs for civilian drug testing and an employee assistance program. You have access to military drug testing, prevention education, risk reduction, and a suicide prevention program to protect the mental and physical health of the men and women serving in the U.S. Army.

Additional guides are provided for civilian employees, families, soldiers, and Veterans living in Hawaii to access care and services provided by the US Army. If your symptoms are acute they can refer you to local resources, including detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT).
