About Ashley Addiction Treatment Union Hospital

Ashley Addiction Treatment Union Hospital was located in Elkton, Maryland, and offered outpatient addiction and mental health treatment services, including medication assisted treatment (MAT) for detox and maintenance. The Elkton location was a satellite location of the nonprofit Ashley Addiction Treatment organization. The center served adults 18 and over.

Clients could pay for treatment services with Medicaid, private health insurance, and military insurance. Many individuals transitioned to telehealth during the Covid pandemic, and due to declining in-person attendance, this location closed in May of 2024. However, the organization still operates in Havre de Grace, Bel Air, and Aberdeen in Maryland.

Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services

The facility was conveniently located near major roads and public transportation. The Elkton location offered a small town charm and a quiet setting for clients seeking addiction and mental health treatment services. Services were comprehensive, including recovery coaching, mentoring, employment counseling, and housing services.

Serving Justice Involved Clients

One nice thing about this location is that it served clients in court mandated treatment. The closure was a big loss for those clients, since most needed local options for treatment. Individuals in the program noted they had built friendships and trust and felt safe and respected, so the closure was a disappointment.
