About Baker House Women’s Program

Located in Baker City, Oregon, Baker House Women’s Program is a residential addiction treatment program for adult women featuring medication assisted treatment. It’s operated by an organization called New Directions Northwest.

Personalized Addiction Care for Women and Mothers

This facility caters exclusively to women, including those who are pregnant and mothers seeking to build family relationships. They provide around the clock supervision in a structured environment. The lengths of each individual patient’s stay is based on specific client needs.

The program’s comprehensive treatment approach includes individual, group and family counseling. Educational sessions are also available. They focus on relapse prevention, parenting and life skills. Case management and discharge planning are offered after treatment, in collaboration with other local New Directions Northwest services.

Baker House accepts Oregon Health Plan along with private insurance plans. A sliding fee scale and other financial assistance may be available for eligible clients.

Caring and Respectful Staff

Positive client feedback highlights the compassionate and respectful staff. Residents mention feeling understood and supported in a safe environment for healing. Alumni of the program attest to the life skills and long term recovery tools they gained during treatment.

Clinicians associated with the program say, “We offer a caring, structured program designed to help women heal and rebuild their lives . . . Our dedicated staff walk beside clients every step on the path to recovery.”

Convenient Location Near Geiser Pollman Park

The secure and homelike environment provided by this facility is impressive to me. They furnish semi private and communal living spaces, with onsite kitchen and dining facilities. There are outdoor spaces and family visitation areas to foster bonding with loved ones.

The facility is located in a quiet neighborhood in Baker City, affording a peaceful environment for healing. It’s within close proximity to Geiser Pollman Park and the historic downtown Baker City district which is known for its architecture and its thriving arts community. It’s a short distance from the Elkhorn Mountains and Anthony Lakes recreation areas as well, allowing for therapeutic outdoor activities.
