Admission to Behavioral Health Hospital is voluntary or involuntary. During a behavioral health crisis, you or a loved one may walk in 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No referral is necessary. Inpatient care is available for adults, young adults, adolescents and children.

At Cone Health, we are committed to offering comprehensive and convenient behavioral health care to all of our patients – from young children to older adults. We offer the latest proven treatment options for those with mental illness, substance abuse issues and a range of other psychiatric health conditions.
At Cone Health, we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for children ages five years and older through elder adults. In addition, we offer group therapy for a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, grief, and substance abuse. Also, we offer the most advanced treatments available, including:
Visitation hours for adult patients are 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. For children and adolescent patients, visitation is daily from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation can occur during meal times for both units.

At Alamance Regional Medical Center’s behavioral medicine unit, you’ll enjoy a courtyard with space for gardening, socializing, playing basketball and simply admiring the flowers, butterflies and birds.
