Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare Rita J Gliniecki Recovery Center is a short term residential crisis stabilization and detox center in Roanoke, Virginia serving adults and young adults facing substance use disorders and cooccurring mental health challenges.

The 16 bed facility offers medically supervised detoxification and residential treatment in a recovery oriented environment with 24/7 admission for immediate crisis care.

As part of a Community Services Board serving the Roanoke Valley since 1969, the center uses evidence based, trauma informed approaches to support stabilization and transition to outpatient care.

Treatment begins with residential detoxification services for alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioids, managed by a team of nurses, doctors and clinicians in a safe supervised setting.

Short term residential crisis stabilization lasts 3 to 15 days and can serve as a step down environment from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Clients participate in individual, group and family counseling using cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, Matrix Model and trauma related approaches.

The center provides medication assisted treatment with buprenorphine, naltrexone and psychiatric medications, alongside 12 step groups, relapse prevention, skills training and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
