About Brian’s Safehouse
Brian’s Safehouse is a faith based non-profit residential recovery program in Mount Hope, West Virginia that serves men struggling with substance use disorders.
The program offers a 12-month residential treatment model integrating 12-step facilitation, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and life skills training to address alcoholism, drug addiction, and co-occurring issues.
The program was founded by parents who lost their son Brian to overdose. Clients can be referred to a local detox facility if needed after which they can begin their residential treatment at Brian’s Safehouse.
Long-Term Residential Treatment for Lasting Recovery
Brian’s Safehouse specializes in 12 to 13 month residential programming designed to provide the extended time needed for brain healing and lasting change. Treatment combines evidence based approaches like CBT with 12-step meeting participation, relapse prevention, vocational education, and GED preparation.
Faith Based Healing with Inclusive Community Support
The program centers spiritual healing through daily Bible studies, devotions, and prayer sessions while maintaining a non-discriminatory approach that welcomes men of all beliefs. Staff and volunteers include program alumni and recovered addicts with lived recovery experience.
Getting Started at Brian’s Safehouse
Brian’s Safehouse serves men ages 18 and older at its Mount Hope location with private transportation provided for appointments. The program is self pay only at $700 monthly plus a one time $500 fee with reduced rates and scholarships available for low income applicants.

Levels of Care

Inpatient
Inpatient and residential programs provide round-the-clock medical and emotional support as you live at the treatment facility. This level of care may be recommended if you have severe addictions or mental health conditions since it removes outside distractions and allows you to focus solely on therapy.

Aftercare
Aftercare programs provide ongoing support after you complete a rehab program. They may include several components to help you maintain sobriety including therapy, community support groups and relapse prevention strategies. This gives you a network of resources as you reintegrate into your daily life.

Sober Living
Sober living homes provide a supportive and substance free environment for you to live in as you overcome your addiction. Residents must follow house rules and support each other's recovery journeys. Sober living fosters accountability and stability during this critical phase of recovery.

Inpatient Detox
Inpatient detox occurs in a dedicated treatment facility. You’ll live there around the clock and receive intensive medical support and supervision to help manage your withdrawal symptoms. It is suitable for individuals with moderate to severe addictions as it ensures a stable detox environment.

MAT
Medication assisted treatment combines medication and counseling to manage withdrawal and reduce cravings for opioid and alcohol addiction. Medications may include methadone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. MAT is tailored to your needs so you can actively participate in your treatment journey.

Adult programs address the substance use and life challenges specific to adults. Therapists can deliver sessions in individual, group and family settings. Services often include job support and life skills training in a structured environment.
