About DeNovo Recovery
DeNovo Recovery is located in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The program offers residential and outpatient treatment programs for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Although there is no specific detox program, the programs here offer clients a chance to continue their recovery after they’ve safely gone through withdrawal. They accept most insurance, including Medicaid.
Addiction Recovery in a Serene Setting
Saint Joseph has a rich history and is full of natural beauty. The facility is near the Missouri River, which offers a serene and beautiful environment conducive to healing and recovery. You’ll be able to relax, reflect, and focus on your healing away from the distractions of an urban environment.
The residential program provides therapy rooms and living spaces that are comfortable and designed to support healing. The program specializes in treating clients with a dual diagnosis, such as alcohol addiction and depression or cocaine addiction and post traumatic stress disorder, and other co occurring disorders.
Both the inpatient and outpatient programs use evidence based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Additionally, they offer more nontraditional treatment modalities, such as adventure therapy, where clients use experiential learning through outdoor activities to build resilience, enhance self esteem and learn healthy coping skills.
Treating the Impact of Addiction on Families
Substance abuse disorder (SUD) affects the entire family, not just the person with the disorder. The treatment programs at this facility include a family support program to assist in healing the entire family system.
The program includes family therapy sessions and educational workshops to educate and empower family members to address their loved one’s recovery. There are support groups and individual counseling. Family members identify and address codependent and enabling behaviors and learn how to respect and set boundaries.
Further, family members work with the client to help rebuild emotional intimacy and trust. In the process, family members often identify and learn to manage their own mental health issues.
