They’ve centers serving county residents of Fayette, Monroe, and Summer. Their center in Raleigh County is situated at 101 South Eisenhower Drive in suburban Beckley. They’re open Saturdays as well as weekdays.
The facility has easy access for locals and people from cities like Bluefield and Lewisburg who may find the services here helpful. Interstate 64 offers direct routes to the facility. Raleigh County Public Transit provides bus services in the area with routes along Eisenhower Drive.
Raleigh County Veterans Museum is within a short distance from the facility. The Grandview and New River Gorge National Park are slightly farther, but reasonably close. These outdoor attractions can offer therapeutic and recreational benefits during your short stay around here.
The facility offers medically supervised detox and medication assisted treatment (MAT). They also provide outpatient care and DUI treatment. Specialized services may be available for pregnant adolescent and adult women. Psychiatric care like medication management is readily available to support folks with co-occurring conditions.
Your recovery journey in this facility will mostly begin with detox. The facility offers medically supervised opioid, alcohol and benzo detox at their Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). This is a six-day high intensity program involving 24/7 monitoring by skilled physicians. You’ll be provided all necessities, including nutritious foods and linens during your stay. You’re eligible for this program if you’re actively experiencing withdrawal and committed to lasting treatment after discharge.
They won’t admit you if you have no plans for long-term treatment after detox or a history of not following through with care afterward. Additionally, your breathalyzer results must be lower than 0.8 to be admitted. A result of 0.8 or higher will necessitate you bringing a medical clearance to ensure safety.
This medical detox is a short term procedure that basically wean off addiction related toxins from your body and prepares you for the main therapy. Their MAT program uses meds alongside counseling to treat moderate or severe opioid or alcohol use disorders. Available prescriptions include Suboxone, Vivitrol, or Naltrexone. These meds curb cravings and reduce painful withdrawal symptoms when taken as prescribed. You’ll also attend a minimum of weekly group counseling, monthly individual counseling, and have weekly medical checkups. Regular urine drug screens are done onsite.
FMRS provides the DUI safety and treatment program through a partnership with the state. Classes are available Tuesday mornings and evenings. The classes are tailored to ensure that you fulfill the state requirements for license reinstatement. If the DUI occurred outside of West Virginia, they’ll help you meet that state’s specific requirements.
FMRS accepts Medicare and Medicaid alongside most private insurance. They also offer a sliding fee scale that lets you pay according to family size and income.
