About Harmony Ridge Recovery Center
Harmony Ridge Recovery Center is a Joint Commission accredited drug and alcohol rehab center. They are located in Walker, West Virginia, and offer medical detox, residential and outpatient levels of care. They accept many insurance providers such as Cigna, Aetna, Beacon, Humana, PIEA and West Virginia Medicaid.
This facility provides rustic cabin-like accommodations with Tempur-Pedic mattresses for each guest. Meals are made from scratch by chefs. Onsite amenities include hiking, fishing, art and music therapy.
Before detox, you’ll have a full evaluation to make sure you get the level of care you need. Clinicians will screen you for medical conditions, co-occurring disorders, risk for withdrawal and other psychological concerns. Once that’s done, you’ll have a treatment plan that is tailored for you.
During detox you’ll be given medications to ease your cravings and make withdrawal as comfortable as possible. You might be given methadone, naltrexone, Suboxone, Vivitrol or Sublucade. All of these medications are approved by the FDA for opioid and alcohol addiction treatment.
Many people wonder how long they’ll be in detox. But, that depends on the type of substances used and for how long, as well as a person’s medical history. At Harmony Ridge, you’ll be given 24 hour monitoring and supervision to help ease you through this process.
Clients often step down into residential care after detox to continue to make progress on their recovery. Others return home and begin outpatient treatment. Either way, the staff at Harmony Ridge will work with you to create an aftercare plan that will help you continue on your sobriety journey.
