About Headrest Residential Facility

Headrest is a social services organization in Lebanon, New Hampshire. They provide residential addiction treatment options to adults aged 18 and older. They welcome referrals from the justice system, hospitals, and other treatment providers. Support is also provided to people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, as well as LGBTQIA folks.

While they don’t provide medical detox on site, you can access support through care coordination. They can help you find withdrawal management services before starting treatment.

One great thing I noticed about them is that they’ll never deny access to care based on income. By providing every service through volunteers and donations, they’re able to help over 11,000 people every year.

A Comprehensive Impaired Driver Program

If you’re dealing with a DUI charge as a result of your substance misuse, you can access specialized support through their management program. By law, anyone convicted of driving under the influence in New Hampshire is required to engage in an Impaired Driver Care Management Program (IDCMP). I like that this option ticks all the required boxes, supporting you in completing the requirements necessary to restore your driver’s license.

A Comfortable Stay

Located in a historic building with homey, cozy accommodations, your comfort is of utmost importance during your stay. You can enjoy recreational spaces, communal dining, as well as outdoor seating. They even have a small garden that’s ideal for strolls and relaxing in the fresh air between sessions. During your stay, you’ll have restricted access to electronic devices to help you focus on your recovery free of distractions.
