Certified by the West Virginia Alliance of Recovery Residences, the program provides separate homes for men and women with an 8 to 10 month residential track.

Residents participate in a structured program requiring 90 meetings in 90 days, obtaining a sponsor within 15 days and engaging in weekly group house meetings, daily chores and life skills training, including employment assistance and financial management.

The program serves adult men and women in separate homes, including individuals on parole, probation or home confinement with GPS monitoring. Newness of Life welcomes residents regardless of employment status, including those who are homeless, employed or receiving SSI and is known for accepting people leaving incarceration who may face barriers at other recovery residences.
Residents are expected to contribute weekly fees plus food and hygiene items. Those unable to pay immediately can seek employment and catch up once earning and staff can assist with connecting to SNAP or Medicaid benefits.
