About Ozark Center – New Directions

New Directions located in Joplin, Missouri offers behavioral health services including substance use treatment. They provide residential treatment, medical detox, and medication assisted treatment for adults.

Inpatient detox is designed for individuals who require 24-hour medical supervision. Patients will detox in a safe and controlled environment by a compassionate team of professionals. Medications may be administered to ease withdrawal symptoms. Following detox, individuals may step down into another level of treatment such as MAT.

MAT is an evidence-based approach to substance use disorder treatment. It combines the use of FDA-approved medication such as Acamprosate, Disulfiram and naltrexone (Vivitrol) with counseling. Individuals may participate in individual, group and family therapy. During treatment, individuals will explore what led to drug use and will get support from peers who are also in treatment. If needed, New Directions can help individuals find sober housing and a job.

New Directions accepts Private Pay, Medicaid, military insurance and private insurance. Contact your provider to verify coverage as out of network benefits may vary. They offer sliding scale payment assistance.
