A Full Continuum of Outpatient Drug Rehab in Virginia’s Capital
Clients here could access comprehensive addiction treatment services through partial hospitalization programming (PHP), intensive outpatient programming (IOP), and general outpatient treatment services.
Alumni and aftercare services were also provided to support individuals in their ongoing recovery journey. As part of these programs, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) was also offered as part of a holistic approach to care. Medications used included naltrexone (Vivitrol) and buprenorphine (Suboxone) to help clients manage physical withdrawal symptoms.
Alongside MAT, clients also had access to core services such as personalized treatment planning and clinical evaluations, addiction education classes, 12-step support, and regular group and individual counseling sessions.
A Holistic Approach to Addiction Treatment
Alongside more traditional therapeutic methods, the center also employed a variety of more holistic approaches, including motivational interviewing (MI), somatic experiencing, grief and loss therapy, motivational enhancement therapy (MET), and nutritional counseling.
Spirituality counseling and support groups also featured, along with vocational counseling to support clients in their professional journey as they began fostering a sense of independence.
Meditation groups were also held, with mindfulness brought in to recovery teachings to help clients develop important tools and techniques to help regulate their nervous systems. Most group sessions were gender-specific. Smoking and vaping were also allowed on-site.
