About St. Louis Metro Treatment Center
St. Louis Metro Treatment Center offers a supportive outpatient space where adults affected by opioid dependence can begin rebuilding their lives. The clinic is located about two miles north of Tiemeyer Park and three miles from the Overland Historical Society Museum in St. Louis, Missouri. The clinic supports clients in the broader St. Louis County and nearby Clayton, Ferguson and Florissant. They offer medically supervised withdrawal, medication assisted treatment (MAT) and intensive outpatient (IOP).
They also provide referral support when it’s clinically necessary or beneficial to your recovery. They’re a Narcan distribution site, making overdose-reversal meds available to the broader community. Flexibility remains one core appeal as you can maintain your job or daily routine while receiving tailored support.
The facility fosters broader accessibility by accepting Missouri Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE alongside commercial insurances. They’re CARF-accredited for quality and safety. Feedback from past clients appears mixed highlighting room for improvement, but the vast majority appreciate the care and support they received here.
Detoxification and Medication-Supported Opioid Recovery
Most clients begin via medically supervised withdrawal or detox. Once detox is complete, you continue your healing journey via MAT that combines FDA-approved methadone, buprenorphine or Suboxone. We like that they offer take-home dosing once you meet specific recovery criteria so you can better manage your recovery on your own terms.
Structured Support for Lasting Healing
Addiction medicine takes care of the physical symptoms of opioid dependence. The clinic’s IOP offers structured therapeutic support to address underlying psychological, emotional and traumatic issues fueling your opioid dependence. You’ll gain practical tools to support personal growth, sobriety and prevent relapse. You can choose to attend sessions virtually.
They may refer you to community or county services to address housing, employment and educational needs as you move forward.
