CareSTL Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center in Saint Louis, Missouri that offers outpatient substance use treatment and behavioral health services as part of comprehensive medical care. The organization serves approximately 30,000 patients annually across North St. Louis City by providing addiction treatment, primary care, dental, and specialty services.
Opioid and Alcohol Programs and Counseling
CareSTL Health provides outpatient substance use treatment, including a SAMHSA-certified Opioid Treatment Program with detox and Medication Assisted Treatment using methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
Individual therapy, group therapy, and substance use counseling are available through partnerships with Black Alcohol Drug Service Information Center (BASIC) and Gateway Foundation, supporting those with opioid and alcohol use disorders as well as co-occurring mental health conditions.
The center serves all ages and welcomes underserved, underinsured, and uninsured individuals regardless of income or socioeconomic status. Treatment is available for adults and adolescents facing opioid or alcohol use disorders and those with co-occurring serious mental health concerns.
Evidence Based Therapies
CareSTL Health uses evidence based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, contingency management, brief intervention, and relapse prevention. Trauma related counseling, anger management, and telehealth therapy options are also available.
CareSTL Health accepts Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, private insurance, and state funded plans. Sliding scale fees, self pay, and Medicaid enrollment assistance are available for those who qualify.
