Central Oregon Campus of Adult and Teen Challenge
About Central Oregon Campus of Adult and Teen Challenge
Central Oregon Campus of Adult and Teen Challenge is a men’s residential program. You’ll find them located in Bend, Oregon. They provide a faith-based approach to help you overcome addiction and mental health conditions.
They don’t offer detox or medication assisted treatment (MAT) and require you to complete detox before arriving at their campus. But there may be inpatient centers in their network that can accommodate acute cases. Contact your doctor or an addiction specialist in case you need to detox.
They require a modest fee to get started in their program. Still, they won’t turn you away based on an inability to pay.
An Extended Discipleship Program
What stands out most to me is their treatment duration. Their 12-15 month program welcomes 20 students at a time. During their program, you’ll participate in outpatient programming, group therapy, and vocational training. With extended time in treatment, you’ll benefit from learning and reinforcing coping skills while strengthening your relationship with a higher power.
An Emphasis on Vocational Training
Their emphasis on vocational training also stood out to me. They help you build essential life skills by working and applying biblical principles to your everyday life. You’ll gain a work ethic and collaborate as a team with peers on similar paths. They help you develop the tools to find steady employment and build a solid recovery foundation.
Faith Based Approaches in Bend
I also like their faith-based approach. Spirituality is a core aspect of their program. They believe that connecting with God can be transformative and can help you find deeper meaning in recovery. You’ll work with their pastoral advisors, mentors, and pastoral counselors to build a strong connection with God.
