About Charleston Comprehensive Treatment Ctr

If withdrawal symptoms and cravings are preventing you from breaking your chemical dependency on opioids, medication assisted treatment (MAT) programs at the Comprehensive Treatment Center network can help you find sobriety in a controlled and comfortable manner. The woodland surroundings of the Charleston, West Virginia, clinic provide a serene environment with all the calming sounds of nature, ideal for a spot of mindfulness following your appointment.

Completely Personalized MAT Programs

To ensure you’re getting the correct care for your unique situation and recovery goals, you’ll receive a personalized care plan consisting of medications to tackle the physical symptoms of addiction and counseling for the psychological impacts. I’m impressed that the Comprehensive Treatment Center offers several addiction management medications, and you’ll be prescribed the one that best suits you with minimal side effects.

You’ll attend one-to-one counseling to learn why you use substances and develop healthy coping strategies for when you’re feeling stressed or triggered. In group counseling, you’ll build a strong support network of your peers, with whom you’ll be able to share your experiences of recovery.

Written by: Gemma Davison

BSc

Having struggled with her mental health, Gemma has spent much of her writing career focused on topics surrounding behavioral health and stigmatized health issues, such as eating disorders, depression, obesity, and sexually transmitted diseases. It was a natural step to write about addiction, with her background in Biology and Research Science playing a key role in understanding chemical dependency as a disease. By writing about drug rehabilitation in an accessible and compassionate way, she hopes more people will feel encouraged to seek help.
