Primary Focus
- Addiction Recovery Treatment
At Cove Forge Behavioral Health System, located in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, we offer an inpatient Non-Hospital detoxification program that is designed to help individuals safely withdraw from physically addicting drugs, such as alcohol, opioids, and sedative-hypnotics. The detox program at our treatment center is monitored by medical staff and includes 24-hour nursing supervision. The typical length of stay in our detox program is between 3 and 5 days. However, the actual length of an individual’s stay will be customized and may vary depending on his or her specific needs.
Medication-assisted detox is offered on an individualized basis when appropriate. When this occurs, certain medications may be implemented in order to assist in providing comfort during the withdrawal process. These medications, which include Suboxone, however, are only used in detox and are not offered for maintenance purposes once the detoxification process is complete.
Throughout their time spent in detox at our treatment center, individuals will have the opportunity to engage in a number of different therapeutic interventions. Their involvement in such, however, will be determined based on their medical stability and their ability to appropriately engage. The different types of therapeutic interventions offered in the detox program may include the following:
Medication management: Individuals in the detox program can expect to meet with a psychiatrist within 3 days of their admission. All subsequent meetings will be determined on an as-needed basis. Physicians, physician assistants, and nurses are all available to assist with any medication management needs that may arise at our treatment center while individuals continue through the detoxification process.
Individual therapy: Individual therapy sessions at our Williamsburg-based treatment center are conducted by one of our detox counselors on the first day of an individual’s admission into programming. After that first session, all subsequent individual sessions in the detox program will be held on an as-needed basis while he or she remains in detox.
Group therapy: Detox counselors and detox technicians lead between 5 and 7 group therapy sessions each day in the detox program at our treatment center.
here are a number of topics discussed during these groups, which may include the following:
Additionally, while individuals are in detox at our treatment center, they will be afforded the opportunity to participate in specific types of groups, which may include the following:
Smoking is permitted during free time and during breaks in approved smoking areas. You are not allowed to have loose leaf tobacco on the premises, however you can have unopened packs of cigarettes mailed to you. Once a week, you will have the chance to purchase cigarettes (and other items such as stamps and personal effects).
You can make phone calls during free time and under the approval of your counselor, who will assign you with a phone pass. You can also use one of our pay phones during free time, but please note all calls are limited to 10 minutes.
We encourage you to leave all valuables at home (including jewelry and large sums of money), because anything you bring with you to treatment will be your responsibility.
