Primary Focus
- Substance Abuse Treatment
Serenity at Summit New England provides clinical and holistic care to substance abuse residential treatment; something that we have become known for in all of our facilities in our program. Men and women 18 years and older who suffer from an addiction to drugs or alcohol are eligible for treatment at our Massachusetts treatment program. Our medical and clinical staff is trained in diagnosing and treating co-occurring disorders (anxiety, depression, etc.) throughout the duration of a client’s residential program.
The client’s inpatient residential treatment begins with a full clinical and medical evaluation performed within 24 hours after admission. The Serenity at Summit team tries to better understand the client’s physical and dietary background, patient history, mental health status and similar considerations during this first step. If we diagnose the client with a co-occurring disorder during the evaluation process, we will enhance his or her treatment roadmap accordingly.
The client may then undergo 5-7 days of medically supervised detoxification, which purges the body of toxins related to the drug or alcohol addiction. Our medical team aims to make this process as comfortable as possible, including managing withdrawal symptoms. Detox is just the first step in our comprehensive substance abuse rehab program in Massachusetts.
According to the results of the client’s initial assessment, an individualized treatment plan will be mapped out by our medical and clinical team. This plan will incorporate a variety of holistic therapies that will require participation daily and will help restore the mind, body and spirit of each client during his or her residential stay. Some of those activities include:
Holistic Treatments:
Group Therapy:
Individual Therapy:
Even after clients graduate from the Serenity at Summit residential program in Massachusetts, we provide them with resources to continue their recovery success. First, we look to see if they live near one of our Summit Intensive Outpatient (IOP) facilities and can get care on an as-needed basis there. Then, we refer the client to medical professionals in their area. We keep the communication lines open with those recovery specialists and the clients themselves to ensure the recovery remains on track years beyond the residential program. When clients reach out to Serenity at Summit for substance abuse rehab care, they get a life-long partner in their path to recovery.
