Believe In Recovery LLC is an outpatient addiction treatment center in Port Townsend serving individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The center offers evidence based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing and the Matrix Model, tailored to diverse populations including veterans, adolescents, pregnant women and court referred individuals.

Believe In Recovery specializes in outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) designed for individuals who need comprehensive addiction care while maintaining work, school, or family responsibilities. Outpatient services include individual and group counseling, 12 step meetings, life skills training and relapse prevention, while IOP offers 9 to 20 hours per week during daytime or evening hours.
Evidence Based Dual Diagnosis Therapies
Treatment sessions incorporate evidence based therapies targeting both addiction and underlying mental health concerns. Clients work through structured interventions like contingency management, anger management and relapse prevention while building practical coping skills, with connections to community support groups and family programs that address codependency and provide psychoeducation.
Court Ordered Programs and Specialized Care
Believe In Recovery offers specialized services for court referred individuals, including DUI assessments, Alcohol Drug Information School courses and Deferred Prosecution Evaluations. The center also provides targeted programs for specialized populations, including LGBT clients, active duty military and veterans, seniors, transitional age young adults and individuals with HIV/AIDS.
Believe In Recovery serves Jefferson County from its Port Townsend office on Sims Way, with telemedicine options available via videochat, messaging, email, or phone. The center is accredited by the Washington State Department of Health and accepts Washington State Apple Health (Medicaid), Medicare, Tricare, private insurance and offers sliding fee scales and payment plans.

Gayle Morris, BSN, MSN, received her bachelor’s from the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center and her first master’s from the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. She practiced nursing for over two decades with a focus on pediatric physical rehabilitation, which required mental health skills to help children, and their parents work through new challenges after a head injury or spinal cord injury. She has been a freelance writer in health, wellness, and mental health for over 15 years. She loves exercise, her dogs and guinea pigs, and gardening.
